Lost You

I can't quite describe the feelings I'm having right now. I'm incredibly excited to release this song, but there's also a fear inside of me telling me that there's something wrong with it. I've been working on this song since May 2018, and to release it now with a glaring flaw I didn't notice... In reality, these flaws I fear are the type that only I would notice. Nobody would know that something was wrong if I didn't tell them, and even if I did, they would likely have trouble spotting it.

When I released Lungs, I said to myself "screw it" and clicked Publish. I didn't even check the audio file. I knew it wasn't finished. As stupid as that was to do, I can't say I regret it. The release of "Lungs" taught me that no matter what, people will be there to cheer me on, and people will always be there to flip me off. There are always going to be those people, no matter what I do. That's why I'm able to come to terms now with the fact that Lost You is getting released tonight. I know that even if it is flawed, it isn't final, but also, nobody will notice the flaws.

The message I try to get across with this update is this.

Perfection is overrated.

Even if you double, triple, even quadruple check it, there's always going to be something off about it 5 minutes later on the final check. You could go in and fix it. It would take some time, and nobody but you would notice.

Show the world your talent. As long as you tried, there will be people to cheer you on. Don't let the haters get you down, because you could try your best but you'll never please them.

I hope this helped someone. - Victor.
